Oh wait, no activities, no clubs, no sports, nothing interesting about her life except for some overinflated grades?

Yea I feel real sorry for her

I actually got a chance to talk with an Ivy League Admissions counselor when I was applying to colleges. Know what he said? That Grades mean jack-all going into a school of that level. Everyone that is applying to an Ivy League school is going to have great grades and test scores. What you want to do is show uniqueness and creativity. They want a well rounded class. So yes, she SHOULD have gone on those trips, not because she thinks they want PR, but because it would show something unique about her. And that comment about the headdress should be enough to tell you what her mind is like.

And the comments aren't helping this either.

Well agree or not but if she was blac she would be in!

Sorry but why does she think a 2120 is good enough to get into those schools? Clearly the schools made the right choice rejecting her when she has a very narrow view of life.

If she is so upset by the way Ivy Leagues operate, why was she so determined to go to one? It's not like there isn't a plethora of high-quality schools throughout the nation that would love to have her.

Maybe the school rejected her because her admission essays were equally as conceited and unbearable as her "Open-letter".

She would have a point if she was rejected from every college. She wasn't, she just didn't get into her dream Ivy League college. No one should just assume they are going to get into a college like that. There are not enough slots in all the Ivy Leagues to give admission to every single high school student with good grades.

She started out with an attack on diversity, suggesting that her white skin, business-owner parents and good education worked against her in the application process.

I'm sure she'll make an excellent member of the GOP someday.

She said that before writing the letter she had been crying to her mother, who complained she had heard too much moaning and told her to speak to someone else.

damn, mother dropping nukes on her own daughter

I hate to say it, but this may not all be her fault. She's part of a very successful family that has a daughter already doing work at a well known newspaper. In her mind she probably thought she wanted to show it to her parents and get into a big name college. Why she didn't apply to one of the many, probably better colleges under her is ridiculous.

I've been told that with colleges, you pick at least 3 that you are guaranteed to get into. That way you are sure you're gonna be going to college the next year. You pick 3 you'd really like, and then 3 Dream Colleges. I'm guessing Yale, Penn, and Harvard were her 3 Dream colleges, with Vanderbilt being her back up. And when none of them worked out, I'd say something is up. Their Fall 2012 Class' middle 50% SAT was 1400-1560. It obviously wasn't the grades that kept her out, so it had to be something on her admissions report and essays.

Poor child, she'll have to settle for a very good education at a state college. SMH.
