Being arrested is ridiculous. Just put his ass in detention for a day or two.

This. Even in Texas a decade ago, anyone rolling around on my campus would have either been given a new shirt to wear for the day, detention or a suspension.

I smell free new shirts

^ Hey now that's completely unfair.

Came in her to post this, for those of you ignorant of constitutional law and past supreme court cases Tinker V Des Moines ruled that kids do not have first ammendment rights in school if it is deemed disruptive to the education process.

IE when that kid kept saying "it was wrong I'm exercising my first amendment rights" he was wrong because whilst in school he had none.

Even when I was in eighth grade over a decade ago, shirts with guns depicted were not allowed. So, don't see a problem with this.

When I was in eighth grade over two decades ago, shirts with guns depicted weren't allowed, along with skulls and pot leaves.

It would've been nice to get it handled without police action, but the kid basically refused to let that happen.

I got in trouble for wearing Iron Maiden and Lamb of God t-shirts with guns on them in high school, he should too. Iron Maiden and Lamb of God are more credible than the NRA.

which shows a rifle

This is the issue, it has nothing to do with the NRA.

Truth. Any depiction of a gun in school is now a very serious offense.

That's why that elementary student was suspended (actually think expelled) from school for making a "gun-shape" out of his bread, and another one for making a "gun-shape" with his hand.

I wouldn't be surprised if the word "gun" was taking out of text books completely.

LOL

Gun-free history books, coming to a school near you... maybe we can say the Nazis invaded France with Super Soakers and they were dropping water balloons on London

Society has gone mad...
