A simple fact to keep in mind during this time of political insanity.

The Republican Party is bending its entire will, staking its very soul, fighting to its last breath, in service of a crusade to make sure that the working poor don't have access to affordable health care.

This is what the emotionally manipulated believe. They are fighting Obamacare because it's a bad law. It a love letter to giant insurance companies written so it's burdens are carried on the back of the working class. Obama is the very thing tons of Democrats claim to hate, a bought and paid for flunkey. It's too bad the left doesn't base their voting on evidence or they would have run primary elections against him and gotten him out of office but they are too content as long as it's someone claiming to be on their side in the position.

Democrats are intent on forcing $18 trillion and beyond in debt for future generations, another layer of bloated bureaucracy that still leaves 30 million people uninsured, oppressive mandates that violate personal choice/religious liberty to the point of active persecution, death panels, skyrocketing premiums that make health care unaffordable for more and more people, and crushing regulations that make it unaffordable for businesses. It cannot be argued that they are doing all this unintentionally. The architects of the bill call it a "train wreck," "job-killing," borderline "third world service," a "nightmare." Every left-wing organization out there has sought waivers and special exemptions, so maybe you should take it up with them and ask why they dare oppose Obamacare, but want its thousands of pages piled upon everyone else.

I'm reminded of the famous Dick Cheney speech about Iraq from back in the Clinton administration:

After you take down Saddam Hussain's government, then what are you gonna put in its place? That's a very volatile part of the world, and if you take down the central government in Iraq, you can easily end up seeing pieces of Iraq fly off... it's a quagmire ... if you try to take over Iraq... How many additional American causalities was Saddam worth? Our judgment was not very many, and I think we got it right.

Seems pretty applicable here to me. What do you propose replacing the ACA with? Nothing? Total law of the jungle that will allow insurance companies and employers to pretty much rob people blind and deny them health coverage in general or yank it the moment they get sick? Allow the cost of care to continue to go through the roof to the benefit of the drug companies while Medicare becomes more and more unsustainable?

The ACA is far from the ideal solution, I'll give you that, but nuking it and giving all the discretion to people who are only looking at profit rather than the value of human life and good of the nation is not the answer and deep down even the most ardent conservatives know it. Either their anger and hatred for the man in charge has detached them from common sense, or they are literally worshiping a false idol of money.

Actually, considering Obamacare is a piece of trash bill designed to put thousands in the insurance industry out of work and raise healthcare costs by up to triple, if you don't recognize that republicans are trying to allow the poor to afford healthcare and that democrats are trying to wreck the system for political gain, you are deluded and should have your internet and debate access revoked.

I thought it was hilarious how Obama said raising the debt ceiling would generate a smaller deficit. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?!
