Prove that the Golden Rule isn't a good rule to live by

Or STOP the petty "atheists can't justify morals" nonsense.

Or at least know SOMETHING about psychology, learned behavior, empathy, and ethics before you try to make your superstitions somehow more valid by insulting atheists.

It makes you look like junior high bullies, who can only feel good by pushing others down. It makes you look insecure about your own beliefs.

What if I'm a masochist? What if I'm suicidal?

If I kill you, then you can kill me. Do unto others what you would have them do unto you. But remember, I want to die.

Sorry for ending your topic so early

Now there are four topics about subjective/objective morality.

Did this really need it's own topic?

Plus, being a "good rule to live by" does not mean that it's suddenly objective.

Rules have exceptions.

"It's a good rule to live by -- except when it isn't."

No!! Not your ignore list, anything but that!!

And anyway it doesn't surprise me that you'd be intimated by someone who challenged your entrenched beliefs with better arguments than yours.

Good rule to live by, sound, valid, whatever you want to call it. Let's not argue semantics.

Basically, you're trying to show why a win-win philosophy needs a god to work.

Making snarky remarks about his topic what?

I humbly apologize for my earlier snarky remark about there being four topics about the same subject (now three. Two, if you don't count the one that turned into this discussion)

But if not that remark, then what remark?
