I just don't see the point of this. Is his beard really getting the way of the quality of his work? No. So I hope things go his way.

Frankly I don't see the point of any company policy that prohibits such things. It should be that all beards should be trimmed neatly, but you shouldn't ban beards all together. I mean...why? It's not like beards offend people, men walk around with all manner of facial hair every day.

Only if it's a legitimate safety concern for specific jobs do I think it's necessary, but I don't see how that applies to a security guard, especially since his doesn't extend past his chin.

Well you can disagree with the policy if you want to, but that doesn't make a person justified in breaking it.
