boss: I think we should do plan a, plan b sucks
yes man: right you are sir, you always know best, plan a is the best choice
boss: hmmm, now that I think about it, plan b would be the most cost effective choice, and the most effecient, what do you think
yes man: plan b is certainly better than plan a, that's why they pay you the big bucks sir

You wrong, because God is constant, Satan creates indecision and mess which the scenario you've described applies to

you see, you're blaming satan for one man's indecisiveness, black and white like I said. your constant god was all angry, cranky and wrathful in the OT, then all lovey dovey in the NT

Did you even read the articles you posted? If anything, Christian ideas (lack of control over your fate, etc.) are CONTRIBUTING to depression. I know when I felt my worst, It was because of the Christian worldview falling apart. Get your head out of a bubble, lastmanstanding. You're in lalaland. Christianity gives meaning to some, puts others in despair. Your religion is not the answer to the problems at hand. Many of the reasons for depression have NOTHING TO DO WITH RELIGION. Read the crap you actually post.

Also, as for marriage and broken homes...yes, more people get divorced, but sometimes divorce should happened. In previous generations, abusive family situations developed from unhappy people being forced to live together. Quality of life has not risen or declined in that sense. Families break down regardless, they always have. You got rose colored glasses on dude.

You cannot justify those stats, they are staggering, unprecedented, never happen before at such rates.

They only started recording that stuff like 200 years ago. So....you don't know that.

You also seem to not keep up on other trends the world over. You blame these things on godlessness, when this country is a very religious one. I'll be the first to admit some of our issues are systemic ones, but there are many other things at work here than a lack of religion (especially in the US, which so many people are religious, or at least "spiritual").

Regardless. We have issues with the economy. We have issues with us not having our priorities straight, too much emphasis on work, not enough on other things. I will admit, our problems are systemic and societal to a degree, but to say it's because of a lack of God is as naive as heck.

The NBA Board's #1 Spurs Hater.
I bet thousands of dollars for no return saying the Spurs would lose in the playoffs and I was right.
