You wake-up one day to find that nobody remembers the religion you believe in

It was not vague—it was precise and exactly what I meant.

What you believe is right doesn't really answer the question at all.

Uh...

What do you do? Answer honestly.

How far are you willing to go for your faith? Will you simply keep it to yourself?

To which I said:

To answer the question, I've never been one to put much stock in that kind of thing. I would proceed as best I could with what I believe is right.

It absolutely answered the question. Since I don't care about the opinion of others in that respect, I would continue to proceed as best I could with what I believe is right.

How do you not understand?

That is so vague. What exactly do you believe is right? That's such an open statement.

Shall I start with brushing my teeth in the morning? Or do you prefer I begin with waking up?

It doesn't matter what I believe is right. That is not the question you asked, and it is not the question I answered. You asked what I would do. And I told you. I would continue as I am now, not caring if or how many believe as I do.

Does this apply to Atheism?

Atheism is not a religion, so no, why would it?

It can fit into the hypothetical, why not include it?

It doesn't fit into the hypothetical at all, that is why.

You cant imagine waking up one day to find that nobody remembers or has ever thought of atheism, and that no atheists have ever existed, and that history has rewritten itself to exclude it?

Seems pretty darned easy to fit it into the hypothetical

No, I can not imagine waking up one day to find that everybody now sees evidence for god. Atheism isn't a specific set of beliefs like particular religions are, so no, it does not fit into the hypothetical at all.

The good thing about science is that it is true whether or not you believe in it.
