Does God care about sports?

Who will He be rooting for in the Super Bowl today?

According to NOFX, he's fixed a million sports and drank a billion beers.

I just watched that Dawkins debate in the other topic, so to paraphrase Dawkins, does it make sense that God cares about some primate species' recreational activities on one roc, circling one ball of gas, on the outer rim of a galaxy filled with billions of these things, one of billions of galaxies?

Even if he did, if you're watching the superbowl, look at your screen right now. if God is playing a part, what exactly is he DOING? You got a bunch of human beings, who supposedly have free will, playing a game, and God somehow determines who wins? That kind of refutes a core basis of Christianity right now, since if God controls player actions, that means he controls our actions, which undermines the concept of sin.

If team A wins, the prayers of thousands will be answered.

If team B wins, the prayers of thousands will be answered.

The prayers of thousands will be answered.

Thank you Jesus. =p

Meanwhile, thousands starve to death because Jesus is to busy trying to pay off his gambling debts, leaving their prayers unanswered.

Thank you Jesus.

For some reason, I always imagined that, if God exists, he's a big Chess player.

jesus worked a miracle to create wine at a party for his guests, so why would he not care about anything that his people pray for?

Secondly, why would an atheist have anything to say about what prayers god answers? Why do people go to atheists to answer spiritual questions? That makes no sense what soever.

Short Answer: He cares about his followers in the sports.

Long answer: He cares about any of his followers in any situation, as explained in the first line above.
