The Summerians indeed have the oldest temple (sorry I'm not an archaeology major!!!), but remains of smaller temples built by the Incans and Mayans date back about 2,000BCE as well. They aren't fully-formed temples though.

Yeah, but you were talking pyramids, not temples. And their designs aren't the same either. And they are still cultures separated by at least a millennium

As for Buddhism, which do you think of these two theories is correct?
1. The Buddha came before Jesus, and people in the Middle East incorporated his story into a person they called Jesus Christ (Iesus Chriso, etc. being his real name)
2. People in India/Tibet heard of Jesus Christ, and incorporated him into a person they called Gautama Buddha or Siddhartha Gautama Buddha?

Um, neither. It's more Jesus ended up further east in the years prior to his ministry to either Persia or India, picked up tenets of Buddhism, and incorporated them into his understanding of Judaism.

I thought in some circles Jesus was referred to as a 'Western Buddha' with the amount of similarities between his teachings and Buddhism

Yeah, Buddha predates Jesus by about 500 years, and there's rumours that Jesus even visited India and got a lot of his ideas from there.

This is absolutely flipping nuts.
When did he have the time to visit? And MapQuest is saying that is over 4,000 miles.

So he went away for months, returned, and it's not in The New Testament?
ARE YOU SERIOUS?

As I said, there's an 18 year gap between kid Jesus in the synagogue and Jesus getting baptized by John the Baptist. Maybe Jesus never told anyone what he did during those years.

Point one: total speculation, NOT in the Bible, NOT supported by any evidence, NOT even a tear of proof to it. Wouldn't that totally corrupt Christianity if Jesus 'took' the ideas of Buddha and used them with Judaism to form a new religion?

that's...that's....just like Islam (!!!!1!)

Point two:
Jesus is the Greek form of the Hebrew name that also gives us the modern name Joshua. It is most commonly used as a given name in Spanish speaking countries.

ohhhhhh look here at this Biblically supported / Scientifically supported website! Amazing proof! I am stunned.

Never said it was anything but speculation. And no, it really wouldn't corrupt Christianity.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure your site completely botched several rules of Hebrew grammar (though I don't speak it, some of the general rules like name organization appear wrong from what little I do know).

So continue your trolololo from Teh Situation Room. You have entered an No Spin Zone.

What. In. The. F***. Is. This. ?????

The Son of God using a made up belief system to create God's true church on Earth? Of course it's corrupting it.

Damn. Double damn even.

That's like a man in New York having visions, perhaps in one of which an angel directs him to a buried book of golden plates inscribed with a Judeo-Christian history of an ancient American civilization. Using seer stones, he later publishes what he said was an English translation of these plates as a book and organizes a church as a restoration of the early Christian church.

>_<

Things like that just do not happen.

If God does exists he either doesn't care much about us at all or is a jerk.

Either way, there is no benefit to worshiping him, and mainstream religion is a bad joke. Little more than social control, obedience and mass-delusion.
