Here is an interesting theory I heard on reddit. Thoughts?

Most of those are a HUGE, HUGE stretch. The pillar of smoke by day, fire by night is closer, but still a stretch. The few similarities are allegorical comparisons.. perhaps to volcanoes.

All in all, not one of the more persuasive arguments Ive seen. Interesting to kick around, though.

^^Yeah, I'm just kicking it around since I found it intriguing and thought it warranted at least a discussion. I think it makes some valid points, but I would like a lot more evidence before actually saying "this is what happened, case closed." The guy who owns that blog also seems a little...unhinged at times...

Volcano is a creature for it is created by The Lord. It is not a living creature but still a creature.

A golem is a creature as well. Not a living creature, but still a creature.

Actually, here's a very important link to what makes things living and not living. Can't back up anything without research.

What's next, those Man-Locust-Horse hybrids in Revelations are helicopters?

Those verses listed on that site go way off, the Bible is talking about volcanic activity, and does so frequently, but God himself is not a volcano, the same way he is not a mountain.

This might have gotten over in Feudal Japan, however.
