Why do people disobey God's command to believe in him?

Jesus is Lord, faust. There is nothing you can do to change that fact. He is visiting more and more people each year with visions. Look it up on youtube or google.

And the visions people from other religions get - that's Satan?

Something that is done by supernatural forces that was not done by man.

Thats my best practical definition. Im sure the dictionary is different.

Why can only true believers answer? If anyone was to know it would be the atheists, the non-believers, surely?

Okay, then. Why do people disobey God's command to believe in him?

I don't know; I'm Christian.

The topic title confuses me. If one doesn't believe God exists, then one believes God to be fictional. And why would one obey the command of a fictional character to believe in him?

They have a very, very, very hard time understanding the other perspective, if they can at all.

When believing in god(s) is part of how you define yourself, you can't even imagine that someone honestly doesn't think it exists. For many of them, part of them insists that we think the god(s) exists and we just are denial about it.

Hence why they don't understand "why don't you obey God's commands?" makes as much sense as asking why we're not afraid of the Boogeyman.

For the record if Polish is too shy to post his great awe inspiring 100% surfire conversion message here, then we could just copy and paste it here.

And TC to answer your question, it's probably the same reason you disobeyed Quetzalcoatl's command to believe in him. Or Thor's command, or Ahura Mazda's command.
