Islam suddenly makes sense to me now.

In what way?

I've wondered why according to Islam, would Allah choose Mohammad as a prophet when he's a war mongerer. It was because they wanted to stop the focus of praising Christ and have us worship the God of War once again.

Mohammed was a merchant when he was chosen. He didn't resort to war until those who worshipped other gods tried to stamp him out. And I'm not talking about Christians and Jews, either. His beef with them came later. He originally was threatened by his fellow Arabs who wanted nothing to do with Allah. They were content with the pantheon they already had.

Which is basically the old testament God in a nutshell.

Interesting stuff. Maybe the fundamental Jews should be 'teaming up' with the Muslims instead of the Christians. But I guess they weren't forcefully colonizing Guatemala.

Non-Muslim Arabs: We don't want to convert to Islam, leave us alone.
Muhammad: THEN I WILL CONQUER THE WORLD AND FORCEFULLY CONVERT EVERYONE TO ISLAM.

Yeah, kind of have little sympathy for Muhammad in this case.

It's a theory at least. Judaism probably did come from more primitive forms of polytheism (there's a lot of evidence of this in the Bible itself), although the specifics about the god of war stuff is more questionable.

Not a theory. It's stated in the Bible.

Exodus 15:3
King James Version (KJV)
3 The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

The term "The Lord" has replaced the word "Yahweh" in modern bibles, but it's clearly stated.

Using an Islamic website that uses the Quran to refute that is a pretty stupid thing to do.

Seems fitting to refute a statement which vilifies a man and his character, a statement made with no scholarly backing itself, with a thorough rebuttal by the man's very followers.

As for using the Quran to refute the statement, it is also fully justified in this case considering the accusation directly contradicts the man's message and teachings.

It's well known during the Islamic conquests and areas after the conquests, people were either physically forced to convert to Islam or were pressured into it by heavy taxes and less rights. To argue otherwise is foolish.

As for using the Quran to refute the statement, it is also fully justified in this case considering the accusation directly contradicts the man's message and teachings.

Because everyone knows hypocrites don't exist.
