What is the first book you recommend someone read PRIOR

Yeah, I'm not sure if there's really a book which could be considered a spiritual primer. Different beliefs tackle those aspects and properties in very different ways.

For Christianity there really isnt any better choice than the Bible. The Bible has everything we NEED, key word- need, spiritually speaking. There are many subjects that are simply not covered in the bible- entertainment, dating/rules for how to get married, the effects of technology, etc.

For everything not covered in the Bible it is up to the individuals judgement.

So what would you offer a young adult to present them the opportunity to consider spiritual options but without the this is it style of main religions.

I would like something that opens all doors and closes none. ( that can come later)
