Pretty sad Taco Bell seems to be cutting out a lot of meat

Seems like everything I get now has barely any meat and their value menu doesn't have much value these days. The beef baha chalupa only seems to have a thin strip of meat at the bottom while 90% of the rest seems to be veggies, cheese and bread. Their 5 buck box sucks. Doritos los tacos is a joke. A taco dusted in doritos cheese powder and charged like 3 times as much as a regular taco. No good values anymore.

Yeah, I really don't expect to eat cheap when I go to Taco Bell anymore (compared to say McDonalds).

Yeah back in like 2010 and most of 2011 I used to eat at Taco Bell at least 2 times a week. Now I go maybe once a month. Everything on their menu has gotten insanely expensive lately. The Doritos Locos Taco crap is a complete rip off; it's quite small and costs 1.29. Their Beefy 5's and Chicken Burritos are now 1.69 in my area. From being my favorite fast food it's gone down to being one of my least favorite in the past 6 months or so.

Taco Bell has gone downhill recently. Their prices are no longer the value I used to praise them for. Their $5 boxes used to be the greatest thing in fast food. Now they're only a distant memory.

Plus they killed the beefy crunch burritos.

Only thing saving TB now is Baja Blast Mtn Dew, the best type of pop ever

I don't understand why you guys go to Taco Bell to eat instead of a taco truck. I can spend $4 and get a supersized beef (or chicken) burrito filled with lots of slow-cooked meat, Spanish rice, beans, cheese, cilantro, sour cream and a ton load of other ingredients. Along with condiments such as pickled jalapenos (or beets my favorite!), raw sliced radishes, lime/lemon and caramelized onions.

How's that for value?

You are so right, bub. We all have access to a taco truck. Why not go there for real tacos instead of going to Taco Bell. Very startling.

Smh.

And I only occasional visit Taco Bell, but I've never been startled with the prices. Heck, if I'm craving some Taco Bell, I'm not going to let the pricing put a damper on my cravings.

Why not make your own tacos at home? I'm sure it's just as cheap and requires little to no prep.

You just need beef, cheese, and tortillas. Cook the beef, load the tortilla with a lot of meat and cheese, and there you go.
