from what i've read:

there is a tv series as well as a movie

the tv series consists of small (like 5 min.) segments with supernatural themes, and the dvd sets out combined have about 60 of them

i'm a fan of j-horror and the urban legend type stuff that comes from there, so i think it might be up my alley, though some have criticized the stories for ending abruptly and not all of them try to be scary

also:

the complete series pack is ridiculously priced on amazon atm, but the four individual sets can be bought a lot more cheaply

and apparently there are some segments on youtube, but i don't think i should link them

>_>

You serious? I promote the thing like non-stop. Most of the series is available on YT, as is tons of other short a-horror . If you're trying to figure out whether or not to buy the volumes you can always watch some of the individual episodes and see if it's something you'll like. Just remember that the quality can vary greatly between segments and many will just end. On YT it can also be called Ghost Stories From Japan

Some of my faves include Line of Sight (which is kinda spooky), My Sister's Room, and Second Round. Copy Machine and The Visitor were also cool. Both The Visitor one with the sick girl and the one where the girls are left alone for the night.

The old topics about it probably purged. But yeah, it goes by a few names.

What was the pricing like? When I looked the stuff up after you mentioned it I didn't really see many cheap listings.

there was a listing that i followed for a couple days that kept going down in price from like 50 bucks down to a few dollars, i think to match with the used prices

the seller claims to be a goodwill store, and has a good rating history, but the fact that i got it so cheap makes it suspicious to me
