Damn that last Paranormal Witness episode was pretty extreme and disturbing!

SPOILERS!

Crazy couple in the 70s kidnap 20 year old girls that are alone and torture them in their basement and use weird box like homemade BDSM contraptions.

Then the worst they did was keep a girl locked in a box under their bed for a period of 7 years!!! Where they gave her food and only let her out to torture her and then back in the box again.
She escaped 7 years later and the police arrested the couple.
The wife snitched on the husband and the police allowed her to go free while the husband serves life in prison...

Sounds crazy. Never seen the show but that Dybbuk Box episode sounds interesting.

*Is the episode you're talking about called The Apartment? Or is it Lady on the Stairs?

Why do you say "you guys" when I said in my post I've never seen the show? I'm also not even aware of the story TC is talking about and specifically asked which episode it was.

The Dibbuk Box episode is incredibly creepy. I'm not going to lie, I had trouble sleeping after that episode.

I watched the Dybbuk box episode, first time I've seen the show. I found it pretty entertaining to watch atleast. Is it true? I don't know for sure but things did seem believable I suppose. I'm sure Agent Scully could come up with a thing or two as to why some of things were happening. Apparently the dybbuk box stuff was so strange (and believable?) that a hollywood movie was made about it, directed by Sam Raimi.

was it Boxing Helena?

and this reminds me of an episode of a show called "wicked attraction" i saw about a couple in TX, I think, where the guy had a home made torture chamber built into a little trailer shack in his side yard, where he would torture and keep women. He would even play "SAW"-esque tapes to them, which were very sadistic and scary. After a while he would dump them off on the side of the road somewhere still alive. Eventually one lady escaped and they got caught.
If thats what youre talking about, its certainly not a made up story, but there certainly weren't any paranornal aspects to it.

I had some free time and decided to watch this episode. My On Demand menu has around 6 episodes. It was pretty entertaining and reminded me of Discovery Channel's A Haunting series.

For this particular episode, it would have been amazing if they showed the actual Dibbuk Box that was involved in the events or at the very least, showed a photograph of the actual box instead of just showing the prop they used in the reenactments throughout. Showing a photograph of the actual box at the end of the episode would've added to the story's horror and credibility. Nevertheless, it made me more interested in watching The Possession.

Would you guys say the rest of the episodes are worth a watch?

It's called "The Possession," and it's playing now. The Dybbuk Box has been covered in every form of media.

It began with an article in the L.A. Times called "Jinx in a Box," and the legend has spread since then.

Paranormal podcast show "Mysterious Universe" has had the current owner of the box on the show multiple times. As far as I can tell, "odd" things have happened during and after each podcast of which there's apparently no explanation for, though I'm not well versed in these incidents.

And then of course there's the movie and the Paranormal Witness episode.
