Isn't the Scion one made with cheaper materials in order to compensate for the (I pressume) lower price? They're not all that different design-wise.

i have no problems with the materials, per say, but just the layout of that center column. wow.

They could've just kept it simple, look at an E46 3 series or something

What's the problem with it, aside from looking quite dated? It's three dials with a rather ugly radio above. I've seen much more crowded ones than this.

But yes, the BRZ column looks a lot nicer. Anyone got a shot of the GT-86 dash? Because that's probably more akin to the BRZ one than the FR-S. Remember, just because Scion is a subsidiary of Toyota doesn't mean it's the exact same car. It's the cheapest of the three.

The 'Scion' is being sold as a Toyota everywhere but the United States.

And the Subaru's giant silver dashboard seems like a bad choice. Hello glare.

They are both too busy looking-- I don't want to see a mass of knobs and switches everywhere, I want simplicity. Also the FR-S radio on top is obnoxious as hell.

I've seen aftermarket radios done much nicer than that FR-S....it looks terrible, and people complain about the Camaro's interior.

No, there are a few slight differences, and one is in the interior. I rechecked, and the GT-86 will have the exact same interior as the BRZ, as opposed to the FR-S.
