Is it bad for my dog to sleep without a bed?

Well, my dog is really good at chewing things and whenever I buy him a bed within 2 weeks or so it's usually unrecognisable as a bed.
He has no problem with sleeping on the floor, is it alright to leave him without a bed?

lol, my dog has been sleeping on all her favorite parts of the floor for 14 years.
