I liked the movie, I saw a vid on the net once that the house protrayed in the games and the movie is still there among the woods.

It would be mondo creepy if you lived near there *twilight zone theme plays*

Apparently before there was a Burkittsville it was called Dawson's Purhase, and it was tormented by a demon called a Snallygaster, it was seen as recently as 1973, and the woods where this takes place are also haunted by Civil War soldiers who died at Antietam.

So someone should go out there with a, "The 'Snallygaster' Project".

You seem to be drooling over the myth so much but you know, the woods that the movie was shot in aren't near Burkittsville, there is no Rustin Parr, or kidnapped children either. Yes this is a very nice game and the movie's fine, but you know, it ain't based on a true story

Qouted for truth. Still I can never camp in woods that look like that ever. My camping spots are mostly by tall pine trees and what not in CA, Oregon and washington state. (due that thats the area of the U.S I live).

I got to check this game out though, well maybe if I can find a free version.
