This level felt a lot shorter than the rest. I died a few times because of the moving dynamite guys and how I had to make the ghost follow me to put the ash on the ground so the fire-breathing dinosaur/dragon thing could set it on fire and I could progress.
Well that's unfortunate. I got to the end of the level but I didn't get the gem I needed to beat the boss. Why? Because I thought there was something else to the level but then I realized it was the end of the level that I walked right into.
This is the boss level. There are 2 stages to the battle. For the first stage, you have to run away from a chain chomp looking creature coming from behind, and you have to move forward (towards the screen) to run away and get to the end.
For the 2nd stage you have to use the missiles to hit Mesmerelda in her castle while avoiding her fireballs.
This battle was easier than I remember it. I remember having to try it several times before beating it.
At the completion of the previous level, you get a key that you can use to access new areas in some levels. That's what I will be doing now: going back to the previous levels and accessing the secret areas.
I'm going back to this level now to do the time trial. In a time trial, you start with a set time that you have to beat the level in. Getting hurt lowers that time, and eating enemies raises the time. You can also get golden clocks to raise time by 10.
