I can only play this in short spurts.

Games like Silent Hill stress me out just by being in them. The horror racks up my nerve so I can only play for a little bit before I want to play another game.

Am I the only one like this?

I only felt this while playing the Fatal Frame games, especially the third installment, due to the sharp distinction between the real world and the dream world. What felt like 4 hours of playing is actually 2 hours in reality. Time seems so long when you're playing in a state of dread.
Of course any game on the PS2 that includes stealth elements is going to be compared to His Holiness, Solid Snake. - IGN

@ OP, no your not the only one like that. In my first playthroughs, i could only play for about a half hour to 45 minutes. Like you said, i could only play for so long before my nerves got to me. All i can say is keep at it. Don't worry about time, just enjoy the game at your own pace.

Im kinda like this but its more ''o god this part / area is comming up''kinda feeling and sometimes i just save when i get there and quit, one of those areas in particular that effects me the most happens to be in sh3 in the hospital that corridor thats pure red, good lord dark stuff and in sh2 it would probably be the prison,u know those areas u dread just thinking about them because there so dark, depressing and morbid ^_^

Every time I read about Silent HIll 3, the hospital always gets brought up.

I need to get to this game already.
