"Starting on December 12th you'll need to have had Steamguard active for 15 days before you're allowed to use the steam trading system"

Apparently you won't see the message until you've opened up a trade window. Sorry if this is the wrong board. lol

ive always kept it enabled even though its annoying, so no big personally. >_>

Does this mean all steam traders need to have it active for 15 days before a trade, or just that after december 15th you must have had steamguard enabled for 15 days at some point to trade?

Why wouldn't you have Steamguard active?

It's no biggie for me personally. I used one of those "10 minute email" accounts when I first joined Steam. But I switched to my legit one as soon as I started filling up my library with decent games. I've always had Steam Guard on.

I believe it's this.

It is sort of annoying to have to use it every time you need to log onto steam in your browser. (stuff like tf2op/tf2bazaar/tf2tp/tf2r/tf2mm/tf2wh)

Also, i think this might curtail stuff like mass coal farmers through 1 cent indie game keys.

You can actually sign up multiple accounts under one email too. During registration it'll warn you that the email is already associated with a Steam ID, but it won't stop you from actually using it if you choose to ignore their warning.

Right click your steam icon in the taskbar.
Click Settings.
Go to the part where it says 'Security Status'

I had to look it up too. You know when you log into a new computer and steam is all "Hey, we sent an email with a code to your account. Please access it and enter the code here."?

That's steamguard.

edit: addition of another note: I fail to see how this would stop people from making loads of accounts for junk. I have an alt account (which I keep logged in on a virtual machine so I can trade with it locally), and with or without steamguard, it'd be a snap to change logins. I would assume people planning ahead would already have these alts for other things like this.
