I replaced the battery around the end of August of last year, and it worked fine. I've completed the game a few times, and I've restarted it just to try something new. Once though, I just took the cartridge out of the GBC, and when I put it back in, my save was gone. I completed the game, and it was good. Then, a few months later, I noticed, the clock was off, and the game restarted on me again. So I completed it again, and about 2 days ago, I removed it to play another game, and when I put Silver back in, the same thing happened. Now, I'm fairly certain hadn't been used, because my dad had purchased it and didn't even use it. So, can anyone explain this? It's fun playing through this game, but when it just does stuff like this, it kinda ruins it. Thanks in advance.

One possibility that I can think of is that you didn't secure the battery tight enough.

I suppose that's possible, but I followed the guide in the sticky, and used about 2.5 inches of electrical tape, like the guide recommended. Another question, when the batter that is in the cartridge right dies, will the electrical tape make things complicated? I'm sure the answer's yes, and sounds like a dumb question but I would think so just because it's all wrapped around the tabs.
