Thanks, I completed all requirements for all the monographs and the urn, but I just haven't bought them yet. Something like an antidote is better than a pebble early in the game (I just finished Mt Bur Omisace).

So far I have ZSpear, Fomahault, Zwill Blade, Yoichi... so weapon-wise, I think I'm ok.

on a sidenote, got 4 Sag gems in <1hr from Oilings, and 2 scorpio gems from mother bomb or something :D

I'm off to do Barheim Passage.

No probs - remember you can steal Deathbringers from the rare monster Ithuno in there, also, you can pick up Dragon Mails + Celebrant Mitres from respective chests which are pretty decent armour for this stage in the game.

Also the mass mob spawning area right before Zalera can be quite decent for levelling.

Cleared all 26 available hunt marks up to this point.

Got 3 more Espers (fairly easy battles imo... well not easy, but I didn't have to overlevel before fighting them as suggested by some guides.)

How I got them in the order I got them:

4th Esper - Zeromus
Main Party (level): Balthier (39), Basch (40) equipped with ZSpear, Ashe (38); Vaan (34), Fran (36) Penelo (36)
Balthier and Ashe as medic, Basch + Bubble Belt and Zspear head on attack. Finish off with quickening.

5th Esper - Zalera
Main Party: Vaan (35), Balthier (39), Fran (36) - all w/ nishijin accessory
Gambits: Attack foe with highest HP for Balthier and Vaan; Any-Phx Down and Remedy
Balthier w/ fomahault
Vaan w/ 1000 needles
Fran w/ Yoichi, as medic and targets minions

6th Esper - Chuchulain
Vaan (35), Balthier (39), Fran (37), Basch (40), Ashe (38), Penelo (36)
Pretty much spammed quickenings starting when foobars got overwhelming. Getting inverted helps restore mp!! lol


Current weapons
Vaan - zwill blade
Balthier - fomahault
Fran - yoichi
Basch - zspear
Ashe - Deathbringer
Penelo - gladius (lol)

Monograph drops (even pebbles) do not replace regular drops. They add another item to what you can already get.

Thanks for clearing this up!

Now off to Phon Coast.

You can get the Ultima Blade, Diamond Armlet and Ribbons to name a few good equipments.

HELP! I got all Ultima Blade ingredients but it's not showing up in the bazaar when i sell them!!

Did i miss something, a specific condition, timeline??

nevermind. got a second set of ingredients and sold them all together and finally got ultima blade :P funny how it was a lot faster gathering the items the 2nd time around.

now trying that RNG method to get my ribbon.... so far got a megalixir from one chest and the dark shot from another chest, both by doing the RNG method :)

Nice - after getting Ribbons push up to Archades and finish it - before Giruvegan you can get a **** load of nice loots - Tournesol in particular.
