WIndows 7 crash

I have one through this message board and many others have yet to find a fix for my problem. I installed KOTOR on my computer that has Windows 7 and it starts fine i create my character and i start the game. The farthest i have even gotten is the the bridge. Anywhere between getting out of the bunk and the bridge the game randomly crashes. I have tried running it as an administrator and also in compatibility mode for Vista, XP, ME, 2000, and even 98. please i love this game and any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you run the installer in compatibility mode and as an administrator, or just the game itself? i did both and havent had any problems.

It's a common issue. Keep saving after every single fight until you leave the Endar Spire. Crashes are rare after the opening

Just drop the file that says vista/windows 7 crash fix - http://m0004.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_sw_knights_of_the_old_republic.shtml#Knights%20of%20the%20Old%20Republic%20VISTA%20&%20WINDOWS%207%20CRASHFIX

into the game's file and everything will work hunkydory. No worries, works perfectly for me now. I had the same problem. Just make sure you have winrar to open the file, drag and drop the file that is in it.
