Ive tried searching for an answer to no avail..

Can anyone be so kind as to help me out with what I need to be doing to get passed this prompt box when trying to open the WoW launcher?

It's got to do with that patching process.

try running it in administrator mode.
Not only does it suck, but it sucks for 2 AND A HALF HOURS. ~ Choco_hose on The Mist.

i appreciate the help, but my next question to that would be how would i do that? Im not too proficient with this it seems and my head just doesnt seem to be working.

Ive tried right clicking and "running as administrator" but that just gave the same prompt box

Right click the launcher icon, select run as administrator.

Right click the shortcut and click 'Run as Administrator"

so i guess i was doing the right thing...but yea, as I said...Ive tried that and it gives the same prompt box

Check in task manager what account is in control of launcher.exe.
I take you use win7 - several of my guild's members have similar issues.
Do you use NOD32? Most of the affected in my guild have it installed. What anti virus sw have you installed?

yea win 7. And it said my admin account was in charge of launcher. as far as antivirus i have Trend Micro

You've tried adding the launcher.exe and wow.exe to it's exception list? If not, do so and then reboot and retry.
