No sound in WoW -- How to fix??

#1KrozardPosted 4/24/2012 11:26:49 PM
I've played without sound for awhile, but have recently gotten into taming rare pets/spirit beasts, so I downloaded NPC scan.

But WoW won't play any sounds now. My headphones get sound from everything except WoW.

I have most of the sound options checked (Except for Loop Music and Death Knight voices. All of the sliders are at a level that should produce audible sound, yet I get no sound.

Is there something I can do to fix this?

Hit Ctrl+S and Ctrl+M.

Check to see if your on-computer mixer has the WoW volume turned up.

Those were both set to on (or at least are now)
I have WoW maxed on my on-computer mixer now.

A side note: I can hear the loud sound when I press play from the launcher, but still nothing in-game.

Go into your sound settings in options and change the speaker it is playing through, to one of the other options, and then change it back to the correct one.

This usually fixes it when it happens to me.

That worked, thanks.
