my enchantrix showed me that alot of the BC instance boss drops DE into small prismatic shards, and i cant see any the DE into arcane dust. Is my enchantrix wrong?

The boss drops will turn into shards, you just want the random greens that drop from trash.

Instance mobs usually have an increased chance to drop greens, I think. So that's why you should do them.

Yep. for farming dust you're after trash green BC drops. Instances tend to drop more than world, so...

Basically you want any lvl 57-70 TBC armor. (weapons have a greater chance of dropping essence)

The other thing you can do is farm cloth at the same time and get a friend/guildy tailor to craft junk for you to DE.

This. Or find a Blacksmith if you're a miner. Ore and cloth are plentiful.
