I'm Rerolling

WetWoodForestPosted 8/9/2009 11:25:28 PM
I've come back to the game after a 3 month break and I find I don't want to return to my old 80 B-Elf Holy Pally.

I'm re-rolling on alliance side and so far, have had plans on making a Warlock. I'm kinda having second thoughts now and I really don't know what I want my new 80 to be.

So, I'm asking you for your personal opinions on your favorite class are, what are the pros and cons? How long have you played it for? Do you still have fun?

Cheers for any help

Leveling Pally. Buff, auto attack til 50, use one ability til 60 use second ability til 80.

Hunter, send pet in, auto shot til 80, use other abilities if you get bored.

<_< Both are the two most monotonous classes to level just because of how simple they are granted, hunter does get a little more fun in a raiding environment.

Hunter's play very different from paladins.

I personally enjoyed leveling my hunter, all 24 levels of him.

TC, Did you level holy? Think you'd be interested in a phy. dps class?
As far as caster dps goes, I've mained a lock on and off since classic. Sick of it atm, probably because I played one for so long.
Don't roll a lock if you're heavy into pvp. they lack the burst/survivability to excel. With fear being "LOL" right now, getting things off of you is pretty irritating. If you can avoid focus fire you'll do ok, but locks are usually the first targeted.
If you prefer PvE locks do well. In my experience, they are under-represented, that may help you get a spot in those "hrm, we might could prossably use a souistone or cookies" raids.

I'd go mage/shadow priest instead of lock if you want caster dps. 'course I'm biased considering how long I've played a lock.

If you're into melee dps, try a dk. I love mine, it's sooooo much easier to top the meters, and melee dps is so easy in general. That or a rogue, rogues are broken in pvp and pve atm.

For the really indecisive there's always druids. melee dps, caster dps, tank, heals...

It was a toss up between Rogue, Druid and Warlock.

Reckon I'll go for Warlock.

Save yourself a hell of alot of time and roll a druid. If your in the best guild on your server you wont stand out. But if your in anyone else's guild. Youll be able to do at least 3 rolls better than everyone in the guild if your dedicated.

Why roll anything else when druid is an option? Seriously.

Er, levelled as ret, never heard of levelling as anything else.

I raided pretty much everything with my pally, got T8.5 and the works, I was a good player, I quit, came back and see how easy everything is, I don't really feel like putting in the effort like I did before seeing how everyone will be able to achieve what I have relatively quickly.

Don't get me wrong, I love playing casually and getting gear easily, when my guild started running Ulduar all they would do was moan at others instead of just getting on with the raid at hand. No wonder it took us weeks to get to yoggy, as for the GM, he started crying on vent, he's about 30 as well (Sad I know). That's what made me quit, I couldn't be bothered to be surrounded by such boring people.

So I'm rerolling a different race and class, on a different server and a different side, hopefully giving me a new experience.
