Is there a Mastery cap?

#1LethalAffinityPosted 10/12/2010 10:07:23 PM
My hunter is still a bit over hit cap and I'm allocating the rest of my spare hit to mastery through reforging.

But I'm wondering if there is a mastery cap?

is mastery a worthwhile stat for hunters to reforge to?

For survival yes.

isnt wild quiver still in marksman?

MM will have a soft cap, as wild quiver probably can't go past 100% chance and still do anything.

I completely missed that little tidbit, but I doubt you could reach that amount even if you went 100% mastery.

Wouldn't that apply to every Mastery though, as they all seem to be a percentage chance that goes up with each point (at least, most of them do, I haven't looked at them all).

Some masteries are a % chance for something to happen, others are just damage bonuses.

Doing 105% more Frost damage actually means something - but having a 105% chance for something to happen is overkill, for example.

I'm sure it's not the case, but something being over a 100% chance to happen could make it possible to happen twice.
