I'm a tank, so difficulty isn't an issue. But those mantids have a f*** ton if health and defense so it can take a long ass time to kill them. God help warlocks and shadow priests in that place.

Not to sound so defensive, but lol maybe you'll kill things faster if you weren't a tank. And no vengeance is not better than a dps spec with survival/healing finishers. I breezed thru there much quicker on my lock than any other zone. And yes I chainpull as much as all the lolblooddks and lolothertanks while doing it in half the time. /flex

But yes, dread wastes > all other zones.

You don't chain pull as Blood. You facepull 20+.

It's a terrible zone for players who cannot fly in Pandaria yet, agreed. Some of the quests are buggy too.

Love the Klaxxi lore though.

When I was still 89 I hated that zone so much. It's the same problem I saw in Hellfire - no matter where you're trying to go, there really aren't any roads to speak of and there are mobs everywhere, some of them elites.

Now that I'm 90 it's much more tolerable. I think visually it's an awesome zone and the Klaxxi dailies are okay.

Personally I love the zone. I dinged 90 two zones back though, so I didn't even step foot there until well into being capped.

I loved the dread wastes compared to townlong steppes. At least in dread wastes if I died, it wasn't because I got swarmed by monsters, but because I did something stupid. A lot of the monsters there have mechanics to interrupt or avoid so if you do so, then you'll kill them quickly and with little to no damage taken. Was the easiest zone to level in next to Jade Forest. ^_^
