Best Pandaria zone?

Dread Wastes. Neat buff mechanic, Klaxxi, A Nightmare Before Christmas vibe.

Kun-Lai Summit. Visually the best by far and the questing was smooth. Those mountains are beautiful.

On my next character I'll have to actually read the quest text and see just how much story enhances some of these zones, because visually and quest-wise Dread Wastes was awful. It seems to be one of the more popular zones on this board and I guess it's just because of its story.

Valley by a mile.

Almost everything about that zone (except for the western side, that's where it kinda falls to pieces) is awesome.

I disagree. I found the right side boring, just helping farmers kill rats and birds. Left half had the brewery, the big end battle and such.

I picked Dread Wastes. I love the mantid and the Klaxxi is my favorite faction. Each one of Klaxxi has a certain flavor and personality somehow, with my favorites being the Windreaver and the... Poison dude.

Jade Forest comes very close for me though and is a great introduction area to the new continent.

Generally all the areas have a certain appeal to me with Dread Wastes being effectively my favorite.

Also welcome back TC, haven't seen you in a really long time (I am pretty sure you were not around for Cata). oO

Picked Dread Wastes for the Mantid

It's not a very pretty zone, but it's not supposed to be. It's the homeland of a vicious race with a military culture AND it's pumped full of Sha corruption.

Since the Qiraji at least, considering they're almost exactly the same.

Physically they're very similar, seeing as how they're both Aqir offshoots created to serve the Old Gods. Culturally though we actually see a lot more of their society, and since the Kunchong aren't an endless swarm like the Sillithid they have a lot more focus on the individual.

Give me the quest flow of Jade Forest, the lore of Dread Wastes, the light-heartedness of Valley of the Four Winds, the beauty of Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and the dark feel of Townlong Steppes...then wrap that all up and put it in the plains and snow of Kun-Lai Summit.

Wilds were ok. I liked the groups of people there and liked the environment. But many of the quests were meh. And the fishing village one seemed a little tacked on, which is good or bad depending on your pov I guess.

I've been questing through Townlong as of late. It's... gotten better. Started out rough and slow.
