A world boss that required Valor or Conquest points to summon.

Say blizz puts in a special world boss that doesn't spawn, but is summoned. You have to do so at the cost of 2k VP of CP, but if your party kills said boss, you get the points back, and everyone with you gets 500 of whatever point type you used.

This boss would be pretty crazy to fight, you'd want a full 40 of people who can pump out the numbers.
The tag for the boss isn't hte first hit, but which raid group does the most damage to it.
If there is pvp going on in the midst of it, the boss will aggro anyone who has a killing blow on other players.
Dieing by his hand heals him slightly.
If there is a full party wipe, he will switch his aggro to the party/raidgroup that had done the second most to him. If they wipe however, he will become a free roaming world boss, and the summonging party will lose their chance at getting the points back for the summoner.

He can be summoned in any zone.

Nope, credit should go to the summoners. Otherwise, top raiding guilds could just camp out and wait for the lesser guilds to summon then steal their points away from them.

I thought about that after posting:

Credit still goes to who does the most damage, but every time he aggros into a different raid group that isn't due to player killing, his damage ramps up and can't be taunted for a short window. Wanna tank it, better be able to spank it. Likewise, if he dies, summoner gets back his points, but it has to be the summoning party that does most of the damage in order for them to get hte points. All who contribute(damage taken/Healing done to/damage dealth) a certain threshold get a garenteed pvp piece.

Does sound like a terrible idea, however if you want it to be the way you stated, you need to give the summoner the ability to unsummon it as well if you want it to still be the person who does the most damage, that way it's at least steal-resistant.

The list of bandaids seems to be growing too long. There's probably more elegant approaches to produce the originally desired concept; can't be assed devising them.

A boss that requires VP or CP to summon sounds cool, but the rest not so much. If it's going to cost points, it should spawn tagged to the summoner(s raid), and no other party can tag. I could see a lot of griefing here too - let someone summon it and then just not help them - goodbye VP... In any case, at least the idea of a summonable world boss is intriguing.

They have smart phasing technology now, it would probably be faceroll easy for the summon spell to phase all members of the raid into the boss battle. Unstealable, ungriefable, just an outdoor raid rather than an indoor set-piece dungeon.
