I don't really like it, but I think "time" is a decent cost for death since repair bills mean very little. Getting ganked isn't fun sometimes, but that's what a PvP server entails I guess.

I'd definitely say it's a totally fair incentive on a PvE server, though.

They nerfed it so people would play longer. Anything they do is about money. Just like CRZ.

I think at the time it was also to make zerging Sha of Anger a bit less easy. I mean, it's a non-issue now, but I think I remember reading something about that.

There's nothing scenic about vertical mountain side I'm trying to go around to get to my corpse that, as the griphon flys, is only 30 yards away. But hey, nothing like having to run 1000 yards to get up there.
