Original BF: Your attacks hit an additional target.

5.2 first BF: Your attacks hit an additional target for 25%
.
Current PTR: Your attacks ht 4 additional targets for 25% each.

The energy regen penalty is still in effect.

I like this personally.

they should make it so that so if there are less than 4 targets it clumps up, so like if there is just 2 targets, it hits the extra one for 100% damage.

Would you rather it just be removed? That's the alternative. It's absolutely idiotic in its current state, makes Combat the least fun spec to play in the game, and pigeon-holes many players into playing a spec they hate. Seriously, f*** Blade Flurry. It made some amount of sense when it was a CD, but became just plain stupid in Cata. Good idea, but terrible implementation.

It wasn't nerfed, but rather its entire function was changed. Rather its a nerf or not will depend entirely on the fight... just like now!

No, you don't. You still have the original target being hit for 100% of whatever you throw at it. You just need enough targets at 25% damage to offset the loss on the main target from the energy loss. Honestly, even with one target, it still quite possible to be a DPS gain. Its not as huge as before, but still a gain. The more targets you add, the more of a gain it is, which again, will be determined in a fight-by-fight basis.

I honestly think it should go back to being a short 100% cleave and 25% attack speed buff like it used to be in the good old days. 2 min CD.

Nerf on fights where old blade flurry was really good, no change on fights with 5+ targets.
