I look down on people that play on PVE servers

I played on a PvP server for awhile. I don't miss it. The only PvP I ever saw in Cata was level 85s in Hyjal/Vashj'ir ganking level 80s, level 85s in Hellfire Peninsula ganking level 60s, and level 85s in Stranglethorn Vale ganking level 30s.

Even in Molten Front there wasn't really world PvP, just large groups staying on the edge of the safe zone popping out to nuke someone who actually tried to do dailies.

Honestly, it was boring.

That sounds terrible, but world PVP in pandaria is nothing like that. My server has been having guilds and big groups of random players duke it out on the Serpent's Spine like every day

edit: and don't listen to that HighonPhazon guy, he hasn't even hit 90 yet

Yeah I haven't hit 90, but that doesn't mean much when world PvP is just ganking people that aren't level 90 yet.

You still haven't really denied this, because you can't.

I see that my post about big fights on the serpent's spine went right over your head.

Anyways, since you aren't level 90 yet you don't really understand what the world PVP is like for 90s. If you think it's just ganking lowbies.... you're naive.

Or I'm just realistic and you're not.

Maybe you're one of the douches that gank people while questing with your 90 human hunter.

Your server is a glaring exception. Most servers are not like that. Even in Pandaria most pvp kills come from people getting ganked, or occasionally a group camping a flight point. The only difference is that Pandaria is not part of cross realm play, so it reverts to the actual server's H/A balance and doesn't concentrate multiple servers worth of gankers into each zone.

I don't think that's true. You see plenty of 90s fighting each other in small groups around daily zones too. I've been having a blast with world pvp in mop so far.

also I play alliance on a server that is 80% horde. I prefer to play the underdog faction, I think it makes things a lot more exciting. We still kick the horde's ass all the time because we know we need to use teamwork and coordination to overcome sheer numbers

Because getting killed 40 times by skull level enemies while trying to level in hellfire is real PvP.

I played on PvP servers for the first four years of my WoW gaming career, and the only types of world PvP I ever experienced was "getting ganked" and "getting ganked repeatedly."

As someone with sufficient self-esteem, I've never once felt even the slightest urge to gank another player. When I did feel like participating in world PvP, I'd find someone of similar level and not in a severely disadvantaged position to challenge. If I lost the battle, I'd get /spit on. If I won, the best I could hope for is a 5-minute griefing from the sore loser's alt.

You're not fooling anybody, manchildren. You're not any more skilled than anybody that plays on a PvE server and everybody knows it.

ITT: PvP on PvE servers is nonexistent.
Oh wait, bgs/arenas, etc.

World PVP is vastly different than bgs/arenas/etc.
It's a great part of the game and I feel sorry for all of you that are missing out on it.

--LOOOOOOL.

So-called "world PVP" is usually players ganking others whose level, gear, or inferior numbers don't allow them a fair chance. There's generally no skill involved because the offending player isn't looking for a skilled or challenging battle, the offender is looking to show off his e-***** to complete strangers to compensate for his own deep issues with insecurity.

It is VERY rare and far between that you get any actual open world PVP and is no less likely to occur on PVE servers. It's probably MORE likely on PVE servers even, given that the flagged players know they can do nothing to anyone who does not themselves flag, so the enemies who step up are much more inclined to at least be equal level with some gear.

So yes, actual World PVP is more likely to occur on PVE servers than PVP servers, and it can be a little fun sometimes.
