Just finished a BG with 17,4 million damage. Second best was a Destro Lock with 7,5 million. This spec is fun in BGs.

Not bursty enough maybe? Granted I'm sure dotting up several people during a skirmish will definitely keep their healers busy, maybe some folks prefer more direct approach, so to speak.

150k Haunt hits while Agony is ticking for 50k is plenty bursty. Affliction has great burst when it's allowed to free cast, definitely a better choice than a Demo Lock when you don't have a dedicated healer.

For some reason whenever I point out that Hunters/Warriors are easy to play, I get laughed at because Warlock is apparently faceroll. lol.

Frost DKs and affliction locks are the way to go for massive damage done in randoms. =D

I honestly didn't know there were places where dial-up is the only option. It's like when you see footage of how horrific wars are and stuff. ~danger_moose

They're better in randoms because you have the freedom to multidot like mad and just let numbers tick up. In arenas the goal isn't to get max damage, it's to kill the other team, and that's something Affliction struggled with even in Cataclysm (their superiority in arena then was mainly due to good CC, good survivability, multidotting and dispel protection).

People pretty much always play whatever spec is best in arenas even if they never even play serious arenas.

aff gets screwed by dispels, they're fixing that next patch though

anything is viable in random bgs

Warrior is harder to play than you'd think

Lots and lots of abilities are used, more than any other class I've played
