has to be Nagrand for me. the whole zone looked beautiful even though it was boring to quest in. and who can forget the battles at Halaa.

Unquestionably Mulgore. It struck everything for me. Music, atmosphere, and a simple but good plot. Plus Tauren are awesome.

Vanilla Silithus.

I was the only one on my server that had the cajones to go farm ooze covered thorium nodes and essences of earth.

It was a quiet peaceful zone that was probably the most deadly zone in the game.

Mulgore... Before they capped how high you could skill up by level I used to fish there. Probably the best time I had in the game to think about it... Chatting up friends and meeting new people back when content in Mulgore was still current and there were always people running around wanting to do something other than get to end game.

Barrens.

Raiding X-roads was one of the best times I had with this game.

Howling Fjord or Eversong Woods.

I remember having my mind blown by the alien-ness of Hellfire Peninsula when BC hit, but stepping off the zeppelin to Howling Fjord with WotLK had more of a profound effect. Getting Arthas was something I'd thought about ever since WoW started, and the whole mood of Howling Fjord really conveyed the tragedy of his story and the collateral corruption of his actions. The pipey music suit it perfectly too.

Eversong I liked purely because it'd be awesome to live there. Felt like Ancient Greece on magical steroids.

Either Jade Forest or Nagrand. I also like the Jungle zones like Ungoro. As far as cities go either Orgrimmar or Undercity with Shattrath pre-Pandaria because you had He-man and Skeletor as Battlemasters. I just wish theyd put in Thundercats references or make a Thunderan-like playable race.
