So I got a super rare drop. How much should I sell it for?

I'm only level 40 on my first character, so any amount of gold would be a lot for it. One guy offered 15k but I went ahead and put it on the AH for 75k. I'm on a high pop server and was wondering if 75k is too high or not.

I would have gone with the 15k, 75k is a lot of money for something that only completionist tailors will want, it's not functional, and not aesthetic, your market is tailors with OCD, and that's a small niche.

Yeah just sell it to the guy who offered 15k. doubt anyone is going to pay 75k for completionist sake.

don't take 15k, you can for sure get more. But 75k is way overboard i think it should sell for 20-25k even 30k.

I'm curious where you came up with 75k when the buyout on wowhead, the very link you shared, only has it at 20k. Should have countered that guy w/ 25k and settled on 20k.

The problem now is, even if you find the guy, you lost your negotiating power if you approach him. I'd just put it up for 15k on the AH, buyout of 22k or something like that.

I saw another post from the fall where it sold for 50k.

No, it isn't worth that much, but thanks to Blizzard constantly and continuously inflating every number at a nearly if not actually exponential rate, including both item values and hard cash drops, while subsequently refusing to put any sort of meaningful cash sinks into the game rampant inflation has caused the item in question to cost that much.
