Really tempted to level a MW monk

#1Glockass1Posted 5/1/2013 2:40:49 AM
Staying in my parents house for two weeks and the PC here is awful. E2200 processor and a GTX260 graphics card. I average around 40 fps when leveling and have a lot of FPS drops. All low @1280x720. How are MW monks when questing? I heard they are good but I don't know if I should quest with one. Then again I'll be better with him when I hit max level.

WW is obviously better. I leveled as MW until about 45 in 5.1 but changed in 5.2 because I ran out of mana too quickly when using punches and things. Try it out though I suppose.

They are fun if you know how to play and do good numbers. Alot of things to track to get the extreme out of the class.

They are not if you are horrible.

Not thinking of raiding though. I will do RBGs with him if I get him to 90 just like my Disc Priest(stopped playing him because he's in another server and I have no one to play with there). I'll take it slow since I don't play that much these days and hopefully I'll be around level 60-70 when I get home.

Not sure how good in pvp they are supposed to be to be honest though I did random BGs on it. Never felt wrong to have 5 binds for mobility which allowed me to escape from **** situations when things got bad more often than not, so I assume a real PvPer will find that fun.

Not to mention any other utility of course.

From my experience I find that MW are really good with melee cleaves and especially with an Unholy DK since they have low mobility. But when they connect they do a crapton of damage. I am pretty sure that no other healer can give DKs so much mobility, not even Shamans. MW Monk, Unholy DK and Hunter/Spriest(not sure in 5.3) are very viable comps.

Got him to 29. It's fun so far. When I get to 30 I'll dual spec Mistweaver and go heal some dungeons.
