Apparently the Tuesday patch had some sneaky programming.

Reading up on it. Apparently there was some hidden programming related to systems they're going to potentially implement soon, which is partly what led to store mounts and raf mounts disappearing. But get this..

Read the blue posts and people's responses. If you lost a pet or mount that was gifted to you, and you can't get in contact with the person who got it for you, you are literally s*** out of luck. People are not happy. It seems blizz is trying to cut down on people buying the pets or mounts to exchange for gold or services to people in game. But legitimate people are feeling it most.

People on mmo champ data mined the patch and said there's all sorts of new programming in there hidden. When I say hidden, I mean your average wow player has no idea it's in there, it's not in patch notes, but the files are there in plain view.

Where is this? Doing a small search, I don't see it.

Also, I have about 200 mounts and a TON of pets, there's no way I'd know if one is missing. Blizz needs to fix this without user interaction.

I know I'm still missing a few mounts but won't know which ones until I go down the list.

It's supposed to have been fixed in maintenance today. I can't confirm as I'm at work, but they're saying to check your lists and mail today, they should be back. If they aren't you have to say so in the thread on the forums, not submit a ticket.

I lost all my mounts and pets from Raf and the store, so I hope mine are back.

This is unfortunately the way things always seem to work out. The people that follow the rules suffer the most as a result of those who don't.

What is most peculiar, is their reasoning for the crackdown is people are using stolen cards to buy the stuff.

So they care about mounts, but if you buy gold nowadays they don't give a damn. They won't do anything about gold buyers anymore but try and give gold to someone in exchange for a pet and you're scum.

They care about not getting their money for said pet/mount. You buying gold doesn't directly impact Blizzard's finances in any way, since they don't sell it and if anything you're more likely to stay subscribed if you're buying gold.

On the other hand, vanity items bought with stolen credit cards is money they didn't get. They know that if people really loved one or more of the mounts removed, they'll buy them again. Free money from their point of view.

Ahh, that makes more sense. Still funny.
