Star Ocean: Till the End of Time

I dislike the way this game handled the story, yeah. What was a cool idea that actually incorporates real-world space-time theory became an awkward footnote at the end of a planet-long campaign for a planet that doesn't mean a DAMN thing to the rest of the plot. The rest of the game ended up feeling quite rushed as a result, and I find it telling that almost half of the gameplay consists of post-game content. Had Sphere 211 not been in the game, I think more people would notice just how unjustifiably short the core storyline is.

I mean, cool ideas, but they weren't adequately explored.

I suppose I'd go under the label of conservative Christian(not politically conservative, mind), but I have no religious or spiritual differences with the story. I even wrote a short article on how futuristic technology closely imitates videogame glitch exploit that I never did post here, because I honestly think the game had a very neat way of looking at the big picture and putting "reality" into perspective. I just feel it deserved to be handled much better than it did.

MASSIVE SPOILERS THIS IS CANON OKAY

Ameena was a 4D being using a player build from a default line that's supposed to have one instance in the Eternal Sphere at a time, to promote individualism and enhance immersion(Sphere wants your monthly subscription fees coming in, after all). Sophia's older and is the original instance of the build, but her genetic alterations caused the model database to no longer recognize her as using a default model, so Ameena's player wasn't blocked from choosing the same build. Ameena's abyssmal physical stats were set by the player.

Ameena and Dion are Dirna and Solon's avatars, btw. This makes the death scene hilariously melodramatic in hindsight. Bonus points!
