Technically speaking guys, can I play SO3 on my PS3?

That's just about the price of PS2 in my local area too (when converted to THB of course).

And yes, the graphics looks kinda laggy when I tried to run it, but I thought it was because i lack the plug-in.
I guess it's still a long way before I can record my SO3 run at a reasonable quality ._.

Maybe when I can make my own money, I'm gonna get a new running PS2.

my dad just got a New-unopened-in-the-box PS2 for something like 30usd. altho it's a JPS2 it does not need a mod chip to play NA version games, funny no? since if I wanted to play an import game on my PS2 I'd need a mod chip. apparently it doesen't work in reverse. oh but he actually went to Japan on a trip and picked it up at some shop he knows of in Shinjuku.

Well, maybe you can tell me >_<

Well, your processor's a bit weak (though it could be worse). You're definitely not going to get full speed on a lot of games, though you might be able to get playable speeds with the right settings, depending on your video card (though, this is based on my experience with the PC version; you might consider making a post in the Mac section of the official PCSX2 forum to get a better idea of just how well your rig will perform).

Speaking of which: the video card isn't listed on that page. Could you click on the "Graphics/Displays" section and show/tell me what you see there?

Oh yeah, that graphics card is pretty weak. =(

You might even get better performance using software mode (which uses the CPU only), since SO3 seems to be poorly-optimized and tends to really stress out your graphics card during certain events (particularly battles and battle transitions) in hardware mode.

And don't expect to be able to record games on PCSX2 (much less so in high resolutions) unless you're willing to spend quite a bit of money (though probably not as much as your dad spent on that Macbook Pro =P) to build a PC.

I'm seriously thinking about a new PS2, lol.

First-hand doesn't even cost that much anyway. And if I am really honest to my savings, I only need four months to save up for it.

well M_C, a new or new-used PS2 is the best way to go IMO. and get a 2nd one for backup when you find one, saves in the long run. I'd maybe like a PS3, IF there were more than 2 or 3 games I'd like to play on the platform.
