Editor help needed, trying to make capturable objects.

I wanted to make a map that plays like Isle of Conquest or Arathi Basin from World of Warcraft. The trouble is that I don't know how to make a node capping system. Is it possible to use the triggers to allow a player to position his units on a certain point for say, two minutes, and gain ownership of the object?

Basically, the planet is home to an abandoned arms manufacturing complex that both sides are willing to use to secure control of said planet, which is cut off from shipments of heavy equipment. Each node provides a different benefit that could turn the battle in your favor:

Airbase- Allows production of air units.
Heavy Weapons Factory- Allows access to artillery, pummels, cannons.
Mech Factory- Allows mech production.
Shipyard- Production of naval units.

How hard would this be to do in the AoE II engine?
