I want to say that... as I've been playing this game more, I must go back to what I said that this is one of the best(let's face if, if not THE best) Resident Evil's ever.
Think of it this way; a comparison if you will: In old Resident Evil's, you almost always had a sort of team. And, They could help you at times, but they would also, unfortunatly scriptedly die at times too as well as getting separated from you(Sort of taking the suspense out of your second playthrough of the game), either of these occurances that separated you were usually either scripted, or for rediculous reasons. (Admit some of them were stupid, like the classic horror movie "let's split up for no good !*&#$!% reason" you get in the original resident evil) In REO, the situations where you split up are neccisary, for example you need to split into an alpha and bravo team and both teams have an objective to fulfill in a different part of the level.
That forrays into why I think this is the greatest resident evil exactly. Like always, you have a team, BUT they are guaranteed pretty much to actually help you, instead of randomly not being present for no apparent reason. Also, in this Resident Evil, you really have no way of knowing which members of your team will live or die. That makes the game infinitely more suspenseful(it's beating a dead horse to say it, but online this was the PERFECT Resident evil because you thusly did not know who would come back to haunt you as a zombie or not, and you could have a full two teams.
Still though, even offline you basically are getting the experience the game was(IMO) intended to create...
Glorious, unscripted Resident Evil. Unlike the others, there is suspense in every playthrough, every time you play something new may happen and you have no way to know who will live or die, as it should be. Well I don't know what else to say. Food for thought I guess. --- "Comfort and happiness..."~Rinoa Heartilly
