Best PvP Class Overall?

#1LadyVarwinPosted 8/14/2008 3:44:08 AM
So if you were on iRO, had unlimited money, and a level 99 trans of any class, with any build, what class would you say is strongest in overall PvP? WoE, 1v1, whatever, which ones are the tops?

From what I've heard so far, Champions, SinXs, Paladins, and Biochemists are the top4. Thoughts on this? Any specific one that stands out?

Do you mean PVP 1vs1 or WoE? Cause the answers are very different.

At any rate, my money is on the Biochemist for 1vs1. Those homunculi are really strong.

In WoE, it's harder to measure because the criteria are less obvious. If your metric is "overall usefulness", the best WoE class is quite possibly the priest.

1v1 PvP, Sinx
party PvP, I'd go with a biochem, but scholar and minstrel are also important
WoE... dunno. Pretty much every class is very useful.

1v1, in a PvP (not WoE) environment, the sinx is probably going to win. Cloak -> 1-hit kill. There's not much that the biochemist can do to avoid getting attacked.

Actually...hm. If the biochem gets a kaupe beforehand, it can avoid that first hit...but I think that's still not enough. The sinx can do a normal attack immediately followed by a sonic blow, and it'll take more than just one acid bomb+caprice to kill the sinx.

maya purple Vanil auto caprice's the Sinx out of cloak. impossible for the Sinx to sneak up to the Chem. illegal but people get away with it.

What about something like SinX vs Paladin or something like that? I remember when I used to play SinX I had a really long PVP match vs a sacrifice Paladin, it's really tough to take them down with soul breaker or sonic blow since they've got so much health, and EDP critlock is suicide with shield reflect.

Also, I think most people are gonna carry around something carded with a horong card (sight) for fighting sins, so it'd be hard to cloak up to them and sonic blow.

Whatever a maya purple vanilmirth is, it's outside of normal gameplay mechanics and therefore outside of my consideration.

It's pretty much impossible for anything to kill a paladin or LK 1v1 until they run out of pots or buffs wear off (mostly assumptio). Then EDP SB might kill them.

Sight has only 2 range. It takes 0.2 sec for a sinx to cover that distance. That doesn't even buy enough time to cover the 1/3 sec human reaction time + server latency.

I thought sight was 5x5. Isn't it ruwach that's 3x3?

At any rate, the sight user isn't standing totally still, he moves around attempting to uncover the sin. In theory it sounds like it would be very hard to do but in my experience they do sometimes get you.

Champ, Biochemist, and Wizard can all theoretically kill Pally's, if the Pally doesn't kill them first.

Maya Purple's card lets you see cloaked people, right?
