For me, the best part of this game was the dungeon design. After playing the first Golden Sun, I went into TLA and on Dekhan Plateau, I was like, "Wow! This is hard!" ...Imagine when I got to Air's Rock. After spending hours getting to the peak, I finally activated that whirlwind stone, and I thought I was done, only to learn that I was perhaps 1/3 of my way through the dungeon. My face:
WHOA. I didn't know whether or not to cry or cheer. Those dungeons are on par with Zelda in terms of 2D dungeon design.
The worst part for me was discovering on my first playthorough that I needed a password to fully get all the good items, djinn, areas, etc. I was so bummed out.
Anyway...tell me what you thought were the greatest and lamest parts in the game. --- "If crashing the ship into the rock counts, then throwing the scorpion at him COUNTS!" - Me to my friend.
I pretty much liked anything to do with or after venus lighthouse in either game as my favorite part, and the worst has to be airs rock --- It's all fun and games till someone loses an eye, then it's pingpong
Everyone says they hate airs rock...I actually love it, mostly cause I look forward to it. Even after all those playthroughs It still challenges me. --- "If crashing the ship into the rock counts, then throwing the scorpion at him COUNTS!" - Me to my friend.
The reason for your apparent fascination with Air's Rock is also why so many people loathe it, myself included. You feel like "oh yay, almost done!" a few times throughout, and it's just so long, convoluted, and downright tedious that it's a bane on the game. The fact it's almost always the first rock done (can you even do Gaia/Aqua without reveal?) doesn't help, because for a first-time player, they have no idea what to expect, or how it'll end.
The fact that a lot of players, new and vets, may not even know you can get Piers first doesn't help, because it throws your djinn balance out of whack due to the mercury djinns.
All in all, just an irritating place.

haven't played this game in forEVER, but for me personally...
Worst part: Fighting Dullahan. Stopped playing for at least a few months because of that mofo.
Best part: Beating the last boss by an inch with all my Djinn in recovery and pretty much everyone in my party with only a few HP left. I still don't know how it happened, but if it lasted another turn I'd be dead.
Heck, that has to be one of my best moments in any video game.
great moment kipp, although (and I just recently found this) with the right party set up you can utterly destroy the final boss.I took it down 3 times in 30 minutes....made me quite angry at how easy it was and how many magics i'd missed (all i ever did was summon rush XD) --- Now playing:gears of war, fable:tlc, orange box, oblivion, beowulf now hating:the wii
Worst part - Everything before Jupiter Lighthouse. Best part - Everything after Jupiter Lighthouse. --- Seriously, I hate porn too. Mainly because of they way it depicts women. I mean, they're not even in a kitchen! - Shinwa
