Chris KepplerPosted 6/29/2008 10:41:49 AM | The number of players has remained pretty much consistent over the last couple of years. It's not a huge population, but it's reasonably sized, very close knit and generally helpful. Finding other players outside of Richland (the starting area of the city) isn''t overly common for a few reasons, but depending on your server there are a few hardlines/phone booths where you can almost always find people around.
On Syntax, the most populated server by a small margin, check Tabor West or North, or Mara Central. On Recursion, the second most populated server, check Camon Central or Mara Central. On Vector, the PvP server, it can be tough to find anyone just milling around as after you reach level 16 you can be attacked at any time. If you're looking for people on Vector, get used to using the /who command to find other players near your location. --- Shinryu - Matrix Online, Syntax www.mxowatchmen.com |
digitalwill2000Posted 6/30/2008 11:19:22 AM | I'm not saying MxO is the best but it is definately underappreciated. In terms of live events and role-play oppotunities, it doesn't get any better than MxO. --- just got da game and put it in upsidedown, it won't come back out. This is my first ps3 I thought that the disk go in upside down - Horntown21 |
digitalwill2000Posted 6/30/2008 11:20:21 AM | I will be returning to it shortly, look out for 'Ventai' on the Vector server! Chris KepplerPosted 6/30/2008 1:13:34 PM | "In terms of live events and role-play opportunities, it doesn't get any better than MxO." Very well said.
The combat system is liked by some, disliked by others. The playable content may appeal to some, and it may not appeal to others. The amount of overall content is, almost by default, less than in other games and we don't have the massive player base that some other games do. If, however, you are actually interested in being part of a living, breathing and ever growing storyline, and it's associated world, MxO is what you are looking for. Of course, the generally amazing community is a nice benefit on the side. --- Shinryu - Matrix Online, Syntax www.mxowatchmen.com |
