Did anyone already know how the Perfect Ending was before you played this?

Long story short, I just replayed FFX for the first time since its release, and totally forgot how emotional that game got me. I had to know if Tidus makes a reappearance this game, and in doing so pretty much just spoiled how the perfect ending to this game is.

Did anyone else know this before playing? Did it make you enjoy the game less? I played this for about 30 minutes and was a bit turned off by how incredibly different the atmosphere of this game is. Is the story still worth playing through would you think? There's no way in hell I'm going to get 100%, and I don't already know any other ending other than the perfect one.

Yeah, there's more to see. Remember: It's the journey, not the end, that counts. What you may've read or viewed doesn't account for the journey.

Story starts light hearted, but doesn't remain so. (This is actually true to life, when all is told and done.) The build up is gradual. Thirty hours is nothing, especially if you're a perfectionist.

Don't fret the percentage. Technically, there's a good chunk of overlap. And FFX-2 includes a New Game Plus feature, so kick back and enjoy it at your leisure.

I think I already knew all the endings for this game before I played it.
I still had as lot of fun, I really enjoy the battle system and it was interesting to see how Spira had changed.

I knew sort of how the Perfect Ending was before playing, but I decided to grab what is called the Sad/Bad Ending first, so I made sure to fulfill the requirements. Of course Spira is completely different - no more oppression from a religion that wants everybody to die prematurely because of a huge Spacewhale.

X-2 is a fun game, maybe not as emotionally close-hitting as X, but it's still a game I like to play if I didn't delete my Savestate on purpose every now and then and then attempt to get 100% in one go again.
And like mentioned, X-2 percentage carries over so you might end up with 100% at some point naturally. Heck, you're actually not supposed to get 100% on your first gameplay. That's what's so fun about it, you can see what all you can make up in percentage by changing your usual gameplay.

No, and unless I get 100% myself I never will(keep missing some Crimson Spheres(every time)), although my game is weird, it like re-counts the percent or something, I had like 95% or something on my last game, started a New Game+ and when I reached the Celsius I had 100%.

It's meant to recount. So five 20% playthroughs would yield a 100% game. IIRC, that is.

I wish I had something to put here, but no, I don't. So here's this gratituous message that means absolutely nothing and wasted a few seconds of all our lives.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't recount. There are extra percentage points in the game, however. Such as giving Awesome Sphere to the side you didn't give it to on your first playthrough. There doesn't seem to be a list of all the extra percentage points in the game though, and I posted a topic about it a while back and nobody seemed to know just how many instances of it there is.

I'm inclined to believe Rune because I did everything the same as the first time and upon reaching the Celsius I have 100% but I shouldn't if it doesn't recount

Perhaps you missed the Moogle the first time and touched it the second time.
Or skipped a scene the first time.
