I always loved how ridiculous his HP gets early, but never used him the whole way through. Is he still an HP sponge once promoted? Gonna use him the whole way through this game. --- Marcus is the answer for anything except "best unit who isn't Marcus," but even then he is a strong contender. - PokeAMon

As far as I can recall, yes. His HP tends high and his defense tends to be low. Not the best Knight out there, usually, but serviceable. --- Hey, she's pretty lucky on having her boyfriend turned into a fairly cute bunny-thing. He could have been turned into a Japanese Tentacle Monster - Azadiel

His HP levels out to maybe slightly above average anytime I've used him. around 70-75 or so. Musashi and Bleu usually get much higher. I can't completely recall his defense but it seems like it got to the 40's, maybe low 50's which is OK but not the best in the world.
It's kinda disappointing really, it would be cool if he was programmed to end up at 95+ HP despite the lower defense, it would make him a fun character to consider. As he is, he's just one of the many knights.

You would not want to keep using Ken since Mae and Palle are much better Knights to go with. I replace Ken with Palle as soon as he joins.
You don't need the best characters to beat the game, so you can pick your favs. I liked having a walking bag of HP, but he doesn't seem to stay that way from what I've read, considering Mae can get 70+hp later.
